Hurray for Hollywood!
Sorry the title of the post is random. Thanks to Ian and Nicole for the awesome advice. I meant to say, Youtube videos, not movies. Me and my friend are basing a comedy/professional show using a funny list we found online(its not a “Ten things to do in Walmart” thing) and are pretty stoked.
As it is, we have costumes (I’m getting a nicer video camera for b-day), and a script (more improv). Sarah is my best friend, and our hope is to get alot of views. So when it comes out, tell people!
And Ian, I have a Gateway, with Microsoft Movie Maker. Have you been successful with uploading those videos to Youtube, and if so, HOW????

If you’re shooting and editing moving pictures for any purpose, you’re making movies.
Movie Maker exports its completed videos as *.WMV files, which I’ve had trouble uploading to YouTube in the past. However, it appears they now support WMV files because I just uploaded one as a test.
I’ll just list all the steps I used to get the file from Movie Maker to YouTube. I apologize if some of the steps make you say, “Duh.”
1. Finish editing your video in Windows Movie Maker
2. In Movie Maker, look for “Finish Movie” and “Save to My Computer.” Follow the directions to save your movie as a file. I suggest you select “Best Quality for Playback on my Computer” when it gives you the option.
3. Finish selecting options to create your file. Click “Finish” to make Movie Maker export your project as a single video file.
4. Start a YouTube account, if you haven’t already.
5. Log in to your YouTube account and select “Upload Video.”
6. Find your movie on your hard drive or where ever you selected to create it. The file should look something like this: Title.WMV.
7. While YouTube is conforming your video (this will take a while) fill in the requested information. Conforming may take a while depending on the size of your video, so be patient.
8. That should do it. Your video will be live and on the web as soon as it is conformed.
It’s very important that you don’t confuse your completed and exported video (which will have a file name ending in WMV) with your project file (which will have a file name ending in MSWMM). Just remember a project is for Windows Movie Maker only. A video is for sharing.
Be sure you post your videos on your blog. I can’t wait to see them.
